Stupid Air Conditioner

We decided to ditch Notre Dame for a week so Creed and Hayes could go to a football camp at the local High School. So, when we got home last weekend we turned on the A/C and on Saturday it was still sooo hot. Needless to say, our A/C was not working. We talked to our well informed neighbors, Christy and Scott, and they asked if we had changed the filter recently. Filter??? All these things about owing a house that we didn't know. There should be a class before you buy a house. Anyways....we looked at the filter and it was a filthy filter. We changed it. A/C still didn't work. Ryan left back for school. The rest of us were dying of heat stroke. Called A/C repair guy. Got charged an arm and a leg. Now it's cool and comfy in this cute little house of ours. So that was that story in short, complete sentences. Next...

Taegen has decided that he LOVES to climb on anything and everything. He loves to climb on the chairs up onto the table and sit in the center of the kitchen table. He also has learned how to climb a ladder. We have a swing set that has a six step ladder up onto a landing. Well, Hayes was playing with Taegen on the swingset and I looked out the window and Taegen was at the top of the slide...unattended. So I yelled to Hayes and said that if he puts Taegen up there he has to stay with him and help him. Well, Hayes didn't help him up there, Taegen helped himself up. So I sat and watched and sure enough....Taegen went down the slide and climbed up the ladder. I think he is going to be a roofer like his grandpa due to his great ability to climb and his lack of fear for heights.

Kyler has totally made huge strides (I think) in the last couple of weeks. He is pulling up to sitting from rolling all the time now and yesterday he pulled himself into a standing position at the couch. Of course, he tipped right over but nonetheless, he did it. He is also army crawling everywhere. All the neighbors say that he has become much more animated and little kid like (rather than baby) since we have been gone. So that is always good to hear!

Creed and Hayes have today and tomorrow left at Football camp and then we are off to Notre Dame. My poor hubby is oh so lonely without us up there. He has had time to play golf, sleep in, eat without being interrupted, poop without being interrupted....he is SO excited for us to come back. Well, that's all that is going on in the Gage household. We shall see what exciting thing happens next.
