Good Times!!

THE CRUISE!

Where to begin? Ryan and I have been wanting to go on a cruise for quite sometime. First, we wanted to go to celebrate Ryan getting his Bachelors...but the boys were born. Then, we wanted to go to celebrate Ryan getting his Masters...but, no money. Third, I'm sure we wanted to go to celebrate something else. Anyways, we finally did it. It was everything we needed to rejuvenate our marriage, our friendship and our desire to go on a cruise again SOON. We really had a great time.

Grand Cayman: We went snorkeling at some corral reefs. Then we went to Stingray City. It was awesome. We jumped in the water and were swimming with about 15 stingrays that ranged in size from small to REALLY big. We touched like 10 different stingrays. It was incredible. We also got SCORCHED. Our backs were at the top of the water for a couple of hours while we snorkeled and we did not put sunscreen on (whoops) so we were fried. Isla Roatan: We hired a cabbie to take us around this small, beautiful island. It was GREEN everywhere and mountainy. It was so pretty. The taxi driver, Robert (I think), drove us all over the island. It is only 26 miles around the island. He took us too the extremely poor areas and showed us where he lives. He then took us to this peak and we took pictures of the island. We saw the beaches and some cute shops. It was a really fun island but I don't know if we would ever go back because there just isn't much to do there. Belize: This was our most favorite stop. We did an excursion here that was AMAZING, I repeat, AMAZING. We drove in a bus for a 1/2 hour on paved road and then another 1/2 hour on dirt road going like 80 mph. It was funny. Then we got to this place. Got our "gear" on. Hiked 10 minutes to the entrance of a Mayan Cave. We hiked in the cave. Rappelled down about 20 feet. Zip lined about 300 feet from one cave into another cave. Crossed extension bridges twice. Zip lined again about 100 feet out of the cave. It was AWESOME! We really loved it. We would definitely do that again. It was a riot. There were parts in the cave where you had to crawl on all fours because it was so tight. Ryan had to army crawl in a couple of spots. It was GREAT! This is Ryan on the zip line. It's kind of hard to see...but try!

Key West: We were suppose to go to Cozumel but due to Swine Flu - we were rerouted to Key West. That's alright, I guess! We had a great time in Key West too. We walked around the island. Spent a few bucks on souvenirs. Went to "Ripley's Believe It or Not" Museum. Ate at the BEST hamburger joint that ever existed. It was FABULOUS!

Boat: We were on Carnival Valor and we had so much fun on the boat. We were on floor 7 and we decided from the beginning that we weren't going to use the elevators so we walked the stairs many a times. On the boat, we mini-golfed, went to shows, watched movies, ate, made love, ate, saw jugglers, comedians, musical performances and more lovin'. It was great to not have a care in the world except...where should we eat today? We didn't have to worry about cleaning, cooking or kids or any of that normal day-to-day stuff. It was great. We slept in when we wanted and ate when we wanted and did all sorts of fun things. We had dinner each night with 3 other couples. They were really fun and we hung out with them a bit. Although, they got pretty tipsy some, okay, ALL nights - they were still fun to hang out with. But most of all....we got to hang out with each other. It's great being able to hang out with your BEST FRIEND 24/7 all the time. I think I could do it forever!! The trip was an 87 on a scale of 1 to 10.
