LABOR DAY!

We had zero plans for Labor day so we decided to go to a hotel and swim. That's right. We used some of our Marriott points and got a hotel room and went swimming. It was really fun. We got there Sunday evening. Went swimming. Ate our packed dinner in a gazebo right outside our room. Watched a movie in bed eating popcorn. Fell asleep. Slept horrible. Switched beds 3 times. Got kicked 598 times. Woke up for the day. Ate breakfast. Went swimming. Showered. Went shopping. Drove home. It was an awesome, relaxing little family over-night vacation. Gotta love Marriott points. The boys were super excited for their "surprise". We didn't tell them where we were going and once we got to the hotel they were thrilled (at least Taegen was). Kyler and Strider could have cared less where we were but once we went swimming...they LOVED it. Kyler is becoming quite fearless in the water. He will jump in and go under. Taegen prefers the hot tub. Strider likes to splash and crawl around the outside of the hot tub. It really was super fun. Knowing that we were going for the boys to have a good time made all the difference. If we were expecting a relaxing, romantic get-away it would have been a disaster. But because we were expecting 3 crazy boys to love swimming and eating in bed and jumping on the bed---it was AWESOME...a huge success!
