Miss Sandee

So, we just got back from Utah (again). This time it was my sister, Sandee, that got married. We got their on Thursday morning and all the festivities began that night. There was a dinner at Jake's (the groom's) sisters house. It is a tradition with the Stapp family to do an embarrassing little song at the wedding luncheon/dinner whatever thingy. So, this time we did a little song to the tune of "The Brady Bunch" theme song. For memories sake...here are the words.

Here’s a story, bout a gal named Sandee
Recovering from yet another guy
This one, her daddy hated
He made his princess cry

Here’s a story, bout a guy named Hardman

Who was looking for another girl to dump
From our Sandee he still held a Christmas present
How could she like this chump!!

Once again Sandee was a single lady

She was over him in less than 24
No more time for tears and disappointment
Men were lining up and knocking at her door

Now to Jake this caused no small confusion

He wondered, “did I make a big mistake?
Oh why, oh why was I so hasty
Now she’s gone forever more, for goodness sake

For goodness sake, For goodness sake

Now she’s gone forever more for goodness sake

Back at school, she called her mother

I saw Jake today—by chance or fate
But inside her heart did flutter
When once again he asked her for a date

I know her dad said just ignore him

After how I dumped his little baby girl
But I think she’s really worth it
Cuz I’m sure her dad is somewhat of a squirrel.

Home for Easter, to meet the family

An interview with mom and dad he had
A fisherman, a hunter, not a runner,
She asked what did they think? He’s not that bad!

Do I really have to meet the family?

The interview with her mom and dad
Oh the questions, never ending questions
Sandee asked what did he think? They’re not that bad

They’re not that bad, He’s not that bad

Sandee asked what they did think? They’re/He’s not that bad

Off to Georgia, to be a nanny

She thought that it would be a piece of cake
After beaches, lake house, and children
My oh my how she longed to be with Jake

Back at Cedar, his time passed slowly

With Sandee gone, he knew not who to squeeze
Oh how he missed those make out sessions,
She’s got to come back home, oh please oh please

On the phone they both decided

They were in love and wanted to be wed
August seemed to fit just perfect
But we know he just wants her in his bed!

So here we are gathered all together

To meet, to greet, to mingle and to munch
And now we know the story
OF, how they became the Hardman bunch

The Hardman bunch, the Hardman bunch

We know how they became the Hardman bunch

Keep in mind that we have a perfectly choreographed dance to go along with the song. Good times.

Following the dinner we had a little Bachelorette party for Miss Sandee. Needless to say, there was only 2 pictures (out of a lot) that are appropriate to be placed on this blog.
The "Stapp" girls. Cassie, me, mom, Sandee and Shawnee. The attendees: Sydney, Cassie, Bailey, Sandee, Kate, Sarah, (not pictured: Trisha, Shawnee, Lynda, Krista). Not much about this party can be blogged about but let's just say...These photos were taken before the real fun began. Woot Woot!!
