Buddy Walk

Seriously don't you just love this picture of Kyler. We actually had people come and walk with us at the Buddy Walk this year. There will be teams with literally hundreds walking with them...then there is us, in the past it's been our little family but this year our awesomely cool neighbors came and walked with us too.  We may not have been the biggest team but we were the only ones smart enough to tie dye our Buddy Walk shirts instead of buying different shirts to tie dye. Ya. We're awesome.

The whole Tye Dye for Ky Guy Team. Me, Scott, Christy, Matthew, Ryan, Kyler, Taegen, Michael and Strider.

We absolutely LOVE our little Kyler. We LOVE having these types of things to help others who have a child with Down syndrome. We prayed about moving to Indiana before we moved here. IT was a hard decision because I was pregnant with twins. We didn't know Kyler was going to have Down syndrome. The boys were born April 1st, Ryan came out here mid-may and I came with the boys June 4th. Lots of changes. I think that we were meant to come here. The services that Kyler has received and continues to receive are amazing. His teachers and aides at his school are so good for him. The therapists truly care about him.  They even have a parents night out put on by Easter Seals Crossroads for families with kids with a disability. They provide free childcare one Friday a night so Ryan and I can go out. Not only that..but they sometimes give us a date card too (movie gift card or dinner tickets). It really has been a HUGE blessing for us and Kyler to live here. Anytime we can help spread the CORRECT word or help fundraising for Down syndrome we will. Our team raised over $1000 for Indiana Down syndrome. Thanks to so many of you. Anyways, until next year I will say that this years buddy walk was a HUGE success.  Anybody who wants to come walk with us next year let me know. :)
