Sometimes I feel totally inadequate as a mom. Other times I feel jinxed as a mom. Rarely do I feel qualified.
I have tried to keep Strider away from germs since he has been born. I admit that I am pretty strict and paranoid about germs. Anyone who touches my baby must sanitize first and no playgroups or outings with little people until at least 2 months. Before you judge me and in my defense, let me remind you that my first babies were "preemies", one with down syndrome who needed open heart surgery at 6 months and any germs or flu bugs would land him in the hospital. So...with that being said, I have tried to keep Strider away from germs.
Did it work? No. Monday I took him to the Dr and he had a temp of 100.6 because he is under 2 months anything over 100.5 has to be investigated. He had to have a chest x-ray, blood count and a blood culture. Everything came back okay and it was determined he just had a cold virus. Friday comes and he is still coughing a TON and breathing funnily so I take him to the Dr again. This time the Dr determines that he is wheezing and so now we have to do nebulizer treatments every 4 - 6 hours.
Sometimes I feel jinxed...do you think this is justified?

You are a fabulous mom, and babies get sick, it happens! He'll be fine. I love how you said he is breathing "funnily" :)
He is so stinkin cute I can hardly stand it. So do we get to see you all in Tennessess this weekend. I can't wait to see your fam. They are so adorable!!
Wow! Strider is all Gage. When I saw this picture I had to pull out a pic we took of Pason at about 2 1/2 months. It could be the same kid!
